Quantity of thiamine in wheat flour is higher than Maida, Why?

Maida is made up of wheat but it is a refined form which goes under various steps like bleaching and sieving etc. which destroy the Thiamine content therefore, the Thiamine content is very less in Maida in compare to Wheat flour.
